Barr Park

PARSON STREET

Barr Park is a lovely park with a walking trail. Located on land donated to the city by the family of John and Jean Barr, this park is a peaceful place to take a leisurely walk!

Watts Park

WEST COLLEGE STREET

Watts Park, which is still in the development stages, is located on a beautiful piece of land directly behind the spot where Jubal Watts Memorial Hospital once stood. This land was donated to the City by the Jubal Watts family.

Whatley Park

COLLEGE VIEW STREET

Whatley Park is located on land that once belonged to the original Bowdon College campus and was donated to the city by the Whatley family in 2003. It currently is home to a beautiful gazebo surrounded by green foliage. 

Heritage Park

WEDOWEE STREET

Heritage Park is often a focal area for local events, such as Bowdon by Candlelight in November, and Founders Day in August.

Freedom Park

CITY HALL AVENUE

Freedom Park is home to the city flags that fly for the United States of America, State of Georgia, and City of Bowdon. It is dedicated to the many Bowdon citizens, living and deceased, who have served their country.

Strong Reach Park

EAST CARROLL STREET

Located behind Widener Family Dentistry on East Carroll Street, Strong Reach Park features a playground specially designed to be easily accessible to all children, including those with special needs.
