City of Bowdon Occupation Tax Certificate Holders

Attention Business Owners: All new and existing businesses located within Bowdon city limits are to have a yearly fire inspection per Georgia State Law. Please reach out to Carroll County to schedule this inspection. There is no charge for the fire inspection. All fire inspection requests are submitted digitally through the Carroll County Fire Rescue website using the “Request an Inspection” button. Once an inspection request is received, the Fire Marshal's Office will reach out to the applicant and set up a date/time for the inspection to be completed. Once you pass the inspection, the City of Bowdon will need a copy of the certificate. Public Notice - City of Bowdon Code Enforcement

February 3, 2025

A Public Hearing and Public Meeting will be held by the City of Bowdon Code Enforcement Office on Monday, February 3, 2025, at 1:00PM in Room 132 of the Municipal Complex, 182 Grammar School Road, Bowdon, GA. 

This hearing is regarding the following:

• Variance Request: 1. The owner of parcels B02 0080008, B02 0060009 and B02 0060010 located on College View Street wishes to have the following variance in lot sizes: 7000 sq. ft. lots; 60 ft. lot width; 125 ft. lot depth; front setback of 30 ft.; side setback of 10 ft.; and rear setback of 30 ft. interior and 40 ft. exterior.
